Who is responsible
Twonk develops OUTBOUND and is the controller of personal data it receives directly through the game or support. Questions and data-rights requests can be sent to [email protected].
Campaign progress, settings and most play data stay on your device. Online features need limited service data. OUTBOUND does not include open chat or precise-location features, and Twonk does not sell personal data.
Information stored on your device
OUTBOUND stores campaign progress, active shifts, best results, settings, accessibility choices, cosmetic selections and purchase entitlements locally. This information remains on the device unless you choose a feature that sends it elsewhere, such as a leaderboard submission, support request, native share action or exported play log.
Information used for online play
Daily challenges and leaderboards may process a generated player identifier, a display name you choose, challenge and level identifiers, score, moves, completion time, rank, timestamps, app version and broad platform information. This is used to provide the requested leaderboard, keep it fair, investigate faults and prevent manipulation.
Do not use your real name, contact details or other personal information as a public display name.
Purchases and rewarded advertising
Apple or Google processes app-store payments. Twonk receives purchase status, product and entitlement information, but not your full card details. Purchase records may be retained where required for accounting, fraud prevention and restoring entitlements.
If you choose to watch a rewarded advertisement, the advertising service may process device, consent, ad-delivery and interaction information needed to show the ad and grant the reward. Rewarded ads are optional. OUTBOUND does not require personalised advertising for ordinary campaign play.
Diagnostics and support
If you contact support, Twonk receives the details you send, such as your email address, device model, operating-system version, app version and description of the problem. Optional diagnostic or playtest exports are only sent when you choose to share them.
Why this information is used
- Contract: to provide gameplay, purchases, restored entitlements and online features you request.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent cheating, diagnose faults and improve reliability without overriding your rights.
- Consent: where consent is requested for optional advertising, diagnostics or device permissions. You can withdraw consent through the relevant setting or platform control.
- Legal obligation: where records must be kept or disclosed by law.
Sharing and international processing
Information may be handled by hosting, leaderboard, fraud-prevention, support, app-store and advertising providers acting for Twonk or providing their own platform service. Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where Twonk controls that transfer, appropriate safeguards such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual clauses are used.
Retention
- Local game data remains until you reset the game, clear app storage or uninstall it, subject to device backups.
- Leaderboard records remain while needed to operate and protect the leaderboard, or until a valid deletion request applies.
- Support correspondence is normally kept for up to 24 months after the issue is closed.
- Operational diagnostics are normally kept for no more than 12 months unless a longer period is needed to investigate abuse or a legal claim.
- Transaction records are kept for the period required by tax, accounting and consumer law.
Children’s privacy
OUTBOUND is designed without open chat or precise-location sharing. Online profiles should use high-privacy defaults, collect only what the feature needs and avoid profiling children for personalised advertising. A parent or guardian should manage store purchases and device-level advertising or privacy controls for a child.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive personal data, and to object to certain uses. You can also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact [email protected] to make a request.
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Twonk will stop unless there are compelling legitimate grounds or the processing is needed for legal claims.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
The website
The Twonk website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Standard hosting security logs may record request information such as IP address, browser type and time of access for a limited period.
