Agreement
This agreement applies when you download, access or play OUTBOUND. By using the game, you agree to these terms and the rules of the app store or platform through which you obtained it. If you are not old enough to agree in your country, a parent or guardian must review and accept these terms for you.
Licence
Twonk grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install and play OUTBOUND on devices you control, subject to these terms and applicable store rules. The game is licensed, not sold.
You may not sell, sublicense, commercially exploit, disrupt or attempt to obtain unauthorised access to OUTBOUND or its online services. This does not restrict rights that applicable law expressly gives you, including lawful interoperability or security research rights.
Progress, Daily challenges and leaderboards
Campaign progress and many records are stored locally. Device failure, cleared storage, uninstalling or an unsupported modification may remove local progress. Use any backup or export tools provided by your device or the game.
Daily challenges use a shared seed so players receive the same puzzle. Leaderboards may display the name, score, moves, grade and time you submit. Choose a display name that does not reveal personal information.
Do not automate play, submit fabricated results, exploit faults, interfere with another player, impersonate someone else or use an offensive display name. Twonk may correct or remove affected results and restrict online access where reasonably necessary to protect players or leaderboard integrity.
Purchases and cosmetic items
Prices, taxes and purchase terms are shown by the relevant app store before payment. Cosmetic items, Supporter benefits and ad-removal entitlements are personal licences with no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred. Restore tools are provided where the platform supports restoration.
Refunds are handled under the app store’s process and your statutory rights. Nothing in this agreement removes rights you have under consumer law.
Rewarded advertising
A rewarded advertisement is optional. The offered reward and any conditions are shown before you choose it. Closing or failing to complete an ad may mean the reward cannot be verified. Ordinary campaign play does not require you to watch a rewarded ad.
Updates and online availability
Twonk may update the game to add content, improve accessibility, repair faults, maintain compatibility, rebalance puzzles or protect online services. Online features may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, security or circumstances outside reasonable control.
If a material paid feature is withdrawn, Twonk will respect applicable consumer law and platform obligations. No term in this agreement excludes a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Ownership
OUTBOUND, its characters, artwork, software, puzzles, audio and branding belong to Twonk or its licensors. You keep ownership of information you create, such as a chosen display name. You give Twonk the limited permission needed to display a submitted name and result in the leaderboard and related game surfaces.
Safety and acceptable use
Use OUTBOUND lawfully and consider your surroundings. Do not attempt to use the game or its support channels to harass, threaten, deceive or distribute harmful code or unlawful material.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using OUTBOUND at any time. Twonk may suspend or terminate access to online features for a serious or repeated breach, fraud, security risk or legal requirement. Where practical and appropriate, Twonk will give notice and a chance to appeal by contacting support.
Liability and consumer rights
OUTBOUND is provided with reasonable care and skill. Twonk is not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, losses caused by events outside reasonable control, or business losses arising from personal use. Nothing limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
UK consumers have statutory rights for digital content, including remedies where digital content is faulty. These terms do not replace or reduce those rights.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, while preserving any mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring a claim available where you live. Material changes will be explained through the game or this page. Continuing to use OUTBOUND after new terms take effect means the updated terms apply.
